ARLINGTON, Texas – The Cozy Catfé on Saturday held its Hello Kitty Valentine’s Day Market at which guests could purchase items varying from cat cake pops, paintings, candles and more.
The Cozy Catfé, located at 740 SW Green Oaks Blvd. #200, is a cat cafe where guests can meet cats and relax. If they wish, they can adopt a cat from the cafe. The Cozy Catfé holds events to bring more people in to give the cats more chances to go to loving homes.
Inside, visitors will find cats sleeping, playing with other guests or sitting and watching people curiously. One of the most notable cats, Cupid, was one of the newest. She’s a black 1-year-old cat who has her own room because she is still getting used to the other cats.
Vendor Sonny from Sonny Daze Art Co was selling her art varying from canvases and prints to stickers and buttons. She spent the day with the cats at the cafe and with a booth showcasing all her goods. She is on Instagram as sonnydaze96 and on TikTok as sonnydaze9626.
Sonny said the cafe takes in cats from animal shelters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to promote homing them and that it invites vendors to sell artwork or goods that relate to the theming of its events. Sonny said she was invited because her artwork is cute.
The Cozy Catfé is scheduled to hold a Valentine’s painting event on Feb. 15, a murder mystery party on Feb. 22, and other events throughout the month designed to draw in more visitors and get more cats homed.
